1. Have at least one year of parent coaching experience or equivalent training in family systems theory

2. Have a specialized parent coaching certification such as Conscious Parenting Method™ Certification Program (CPMCP) by Dr Shefali

3. Be knowledgeable about current trends in family dynamics

4. Have an understanding of different types of interventions used in families

5. Possess knowledge of child development theory

6. Demonstrate an understanding of the concept of mindfulness

7. Have an understanding of how attachment styles affect relationships between parents and childrenDemonstrate basic counseling skills such as active listening and empathy

9. Have experience working with diverse populations

10. Be familiar with applicable regulations set by licensing boards or other governing bodies related to coaching professionals or family counselors/therapists/social workers etc..
